Cheeseburger buns


These are so quick and easy to heat up. I'm posting the recipe for my reference.

Cheeseburger buns

2 packages active dry yeast
1/2 C warm water
3/4 C warm milk
1/4 C sugar
1/4 C shortening
1 egg
1 tsp salt
3 1/2-4 C flour

Put into the bread machine in the order your machine says and set it to dough setting.

Filling
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 C chopped onion
1 can 8 oz. tomato sauce
8 slices american cheese

cook beef and onions until done. Drain and season. Add tomato sauce and remove from heat. Punch down dough and then divide into 16 pieces. Roll out each piece of dough to a 5 in. circle. Put a piece of cheese down and 2-3 T of meat mixture. Bring doughover mixture and seal. Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet. Let rise for 20 minutes. Bake at 400 for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown.
